my blog has been died for around 2 months

i'm always procrastinating & delaying my scheduled posts..

i planned to blog this during end of Dec but couldn't get down to it..

another sorry to my followers again ┳◇┳

below is more loots i splurged on last year =^-^

sadly, the expensive eye mask didn't really brighten my eyes ;;

during my 2 months of absence, there was another big holiday:

Lunar New Year (Year of Dragon)!

this year's chinese new year passed pretty quickly for me

every day i indulged in good food & played mahjong with my parents~

(*^o^*) was lucky enough to win some $$ from mahjong

my red packets collection this year~~

~Q~ already spent some of it...

i think last years collection was more cute~ bunnies ≧ ≦

snapped lots of cny dinner pictures this year. *glutton*

ate pizza hut on Sat, the start of the long weekend~

had the special fortune pizza; the fortune bags were quite crispy.

dined at Jumbo for Lunar New Year eve~ special set meal~~

ヾ(￣〓￣ヾ) they gave a pair of complementary mandarin oranges

with a red packet filled with vouchers/lottery ticket.

only kinda dressed up for lunar new year eve

pardon me for the no makeup look (・・,)

really love this floral maxi dress from Forever 21~

ate Shabuya for New Year's day & Jumbo seafood for day 2.

also Tampopo for day 3. we really went all out on food this cny~

i'm drooling at every picture now（；´д｀）

no wonder it's so easy to gain weight during the holidays..

okay, enough about food (。。 )

thanks to Lushington Entertainment, L'Arc~en~Ciel is coming here!

already bought CAT 1 tickets to go with my friend!!!

can't wait till April 28th~ anyone excited about it too?

i actually wanted to go to Evanescence's concert too..

but couldn't afford for both ´д｀

and i'm so glad that W❤C is going back to their colourful, cute style~

can't wait to get my hands on their new spring collection.

so far i really like these two items ^.^

this December was a rather fulfilling month.

on the 4th, i took JLPT N5 at SMU.

the test was more difficult than i imagined.

i hope i will pass（-人-）

gearing up for JLPT N4 next month~

and W❤C's fukubukuro 福袋 was released.

couldn't buy any in time (￣个￣) hopefully can get one during jan

isn't 2012's better than 2011's?

i also bought a lot of Japanese dramas at Poh Kim

completed all of above ヘ_ _)ヘ

i like Zenkai Girl most, followed by Ouran

had a hard time finishing Koshonin season 2.

the second season was sooo boring!

now watching Meitantei Conan drama (゜ロ゜)

of course who could have forgotten about Christmas?

how did you celebrate this x'mas?

my family and i indulged ourselves with a dinner at Ma Maison.

a 6-course special x'mas eve dinner!

the food was pretty satisfying! (＊0＊;)

my mum & i had salmon for main course while dad had beef~

i love eating the main course & dessert!

however i felt full soon after the salad and couldn't finish them..

⊃_⊂ never ate so much for a meal before...

what's Christmas without presents? ☆彡

my family exchanged gifts~ can you guess which presents are mine?

caught many Rilakkuma goodies at the arcade on x'mas day~

Universal Studios '11 ♬

as title states, today i'm going to share my trip at

ユニバーサルスタジオ: シンガポール~

after meeting my good friend, Lena, at Vivocity, we took the monorail to Universal Studios Singapore.

first entered Hollywood zone and took some pics~ ふふ

i loved my outfit that day only to realize how time consuming it was,

removing this romper in the washroom.. (￣д￣)

we went watching some street shows + rides at Madagascar & New York.

i would say it was pretty boring since we weren't fans of any characters.

we were surprising drenched in Lights, Camera and Action ride ´д｀

the weather was bad too: drizzling and stopping, then drizzling..

we stopped by at Mel's Burgers for a quick bite

o( _ _ )o sat Canopy Flyer after that.. where my lunch almost left me.

most spectacular show i have to say is Water World~

the effects were amazing~ (^・・^=)

i took many pictures, mainly of scenery in USS.

my makeup of the day~ hair went bananas with the weather

luckily most makeup remained ⌒_⌒

last picture i took in USS,

i swear i was not acting scared but more of weird out by the latex hands.

（*´▽｀*）watched Voyage De La Vie after that. loved the stunts!

only wished we could move in front for a better view.. it was so empty!!

checked in to Hard Rock Hotel. the room was cozy~

but the view was BAH.. construction of some new attraction?

i was quite disappointed by the breakfast.. the buffet was filled with carbo.

nothing was exceptionally delicious ￣□￣

oh well, that's the end of my trip~

and what's a trip without loots? （○゜ε＾○）

compared to Disneyland: Japan where i had to scrimp & save..

i found myself having a hard time spending money on souvenirs at USS!

but all is still good, i carried home 2 bags of stuffs after being less picky.

i bought some candy from Candylicious and

some various Shrek stuffs with pins for my mum + a cup for my dad~

overall i think it was a nice trip,

though the raining part kinda got on my nerves..

can't wait to my Hong Kong trip next year（〃∀〃）

My thoughts: Haven't watched such a dramatic movie in years! (^ー^* ) i love the robots fighting scenes. it has been a while since a movie have taken my breath away! this movie has a bit of everything- family life, romance, action, sci-fi... i could literally feel my heart pumping during Atom's fight with Zeus~ this show is suitable for everyone (^。^)丿

purchased a Wii Black that comes with Wii Sports~

the games are really challenging.

i got a couple of items from the Pearly n Kelly spree.

everything was in great condition! thank you~~♪

bought 2 pairs of Jewerich lashes and 2 packs of Ninja Meshi~ will review about them soon (･ω･* well, i actually ordered more stuffs. but the limited edition Diamond Lash by Chinatsu wasn't available and Pearly only could get these 2 favours of Ninja Meshi~ the sweets taste pretty good~ i favour the green apple more. (*ゝз･) the plum is a little sour~

more loots gotten over the last few weekends~ my LX3 also arrived through the post! totally needed a compact camera for outing pictures ⌒v⌒ i'm so guilty!! i bought so many Japanese snacks!! love eating.. can't find my resolution to diet (*´3｀) might post some snack reviews soon! i also attended a shinobue/piano concert & workshop last weekend. it's pretty saddening to hear that braces will affect my playing! if i get used to blowing my fue with braces now, when i remove them, i need to start learning the blowing technique from start.

i heard a lot of raves for LX3 so i decided to buy one~

Otome Game Review: Starry☆Sky ~in Spring~

as promised, today i'm going to review about..

Starry☆Sky ~in Spring~

it's another visual novel~ this time in English!

best thing of all? it can be downloaded free!!

i'll share a short tutorial i learnt online at the end of this post~

for this game, there are only 3 guys available. besides spring, there are other series of Starry Sky named after the four seasons. with each season's change, there will be different males for you to choose~ sadly, this is the only one that is translated to English. (￣∀￣*) what's special though is that you can't really see the face of the heroine. i guess this is for you to better imagine yourself as the female character? so here are the 3 guys in the game..

Yoh Tomoe 土萌羊

Yoh's half French, half Japanese. as a kid, he's often bullied because he is a half. the heroine was the only one that played with him and Yoh fell in love with her. since he had a sad childhood, Yoh builds a protective wall around himself. he doesn't want to make friends with anyone besides the heroine. Yoh is proud of his feeling for the heroine and always expresses it freely.

Kanata Nanami 七海哉太

the heroine is childhood friends with Kanata & Suzuya. they always have been in a trio, doing things together like stargazing. Kanata has been battling with a terminal disease. he doesn't speak much about his disease as he doesn't want people to worry about him, especially the heroine. he fights frequently and skips classes for that. it's his way to say that he's healthy like everyone else. he loves the heroine but doesn't like to say his honest feelings.

Suzuya Tohzuki 東月錫也

like Kanata, he's a childhood friend of the heroine. he acts like the mother of the pack and love to tempt everyone with his delicious cooking. Suzuya is calm and is always seen smiling. he's the one that acts as a middleman when Yoh & Kanata are fighting over little matters. Suzuya is always watching over the heroine, doing everything he can to make her happy. he, too, loves the heroine but worries about the heroine not loving him the same. thus, he doesn't show his true feelings.

Overall: 3 stars

for this game, i only had the patience to complete Suzuya's route. i didn't like this game as much as i liked Hiiro no Kakera~ (●´д｀●) i'm not a big fan of Starry Sky's art. i think all 3 male characters look like they have malnutrition..

anyhow, here are the CGS i captured from Suzuya's route~

i played the true ending with them getting married~ ･v･ the plot's pretty normal? all characters are 2nd years of a astronomy school. the story revolves around school life & relationships between friends with nothing really exciting happening? they all love astronomy and thus the most romantic thing in the game is stargazing? i find myself past forwarding most of the daily conversation.. i'm more of a fantasy lover~

but since there isn't much English otome games to begin with..

i still think it's worth a try playing~

the rewarding factor is that the Japanese voice cast is pretty good.

Book Review: The Last Empress

Genre: Historical Novel

Thoughts: Despite not being a avid reader, i find myself drawn to the remains of time. i think that's mainly why i took History instead of Geography in school. maybe that's why i was called a "old woman" by my mother? ヾ(●´∀｀●) i am not the type of person that likes clubbing or who does extreme sports. picking this book was a good way to see everything in a different perspective about the famous historical figure, Empress Cixi.

It is generally believed that Empress Dowager Cixi, 慈禧太后, is a ruthless ruler and the one that caused the dynasty to fall. this story by Anchee Min, however, shows a more human side to Empress Cixi- her struggles, sadness and despair. i personally can't decide whether is the story realistic or not as i don't know the history that well. but, i really enjoyed reading this book as it teaches me about humanity. (´ω｀*) i'm not sure if that's what the writer is trying to portray.

In all, i love this book~ it makes my mind think about the deeper.. hidden side to everything. i want to read this novel again and better understand the story~

*i'm sorry for such a boring review.. i guess i sound deep & uninteresting*

こんにちは、みなさん~

shameless title i know!! ´∀｀o anyhow, this is my first time taking a series of pictures with my newly bought ring light and Canon EOS 600D~ i used poster printing paper as backdrop. it's my first time taking such pictures by myself so please pardon me for the repetitive poses~ my hair is rather flat at the top and my right false lash kept coming down ≧ ≦

i really love this WC sweater though i think it will be hot to wear it in Singapore? my skin itches quite easily to these kind of material ´_ ｀ i had to photoshop away the redness on my shoulders. i think i did pretty good with my makeup and big eye contacts~ but my black roots are showing!!! i dye my roots end of this month~ ・ω・

yes~ if you didn't know, i have braces on! (ゝ∀･◎) i used to have a cross bite but since i put on braces on Nov '10, it's all straighten out~ now i have to only wait for my teeth to move so my two front teeth can be in the middle~~ i will do my best to continue this streak and post more pictures of myself on this blog! next post? Otome Game Review: Hiiro no Kakera

today i'm going to review about..

Hiiro no Kakera ～あの空の下で～

i have always wanted to try this game~ the art's so pretty!! but this game requires many kanji knowledge, it was impossible to play it in Japanese! i was sooo luckily to find the Chinese translation of the PSP version! the voice dubs are still in Japanese~ let's do a quick character intro before i review this game~ ≧ω≦

like any other otome game (GxB), you will be playing the heroine~

Tamaki Kasuga 春日珠紀

she's a total girl and can be loud at times.

descendant of tamayorihime

there are 6 guys available for you to target~

Takuma Onizaki 鬼崎拓磨

he's rude & acts like a jerk. but that's 'cos he has a fear deep inside him.

Yuuichi Komura 狐邑祐一

the super quiet guy of the pack~ he can fall sleep anywhere!

the senior that is very sensitive about his height~

the strategist of the team & the oldest male. he'm clam and mature~

he's a lone wolf who acts alone. loves to do pervert acts to the girl~

my first completed route is Takuma. i always wanted to try his route because i saw this picture on youtube. totally hot i know! (*>∀<*) he's really handsome in his oni form~

the music is soo soothing! i fell in love with Fujita Maiko's voice as soon as i heard the opening! =･ω･= i also recommend listening to all of her 緋色の欠片 series~ it's a pity she's not well known.

i also completed Oomi's route, both using the walk through~ i have to say that i'm not in love with both characters? despite the really good art, i find the story a little funny at times. some parts i was like ehhh?? what just happened?!. at first, i personally prefer Oomi better than Takuma. megane ouji~~♪♪ however, in the ~after ending~ short episodes, Oomi just became a total hentai jiji! ´Å｀ impression spoiled!

what's likable though is the voice dubbing. besides the Tamaki, all characters have a realistic voice dubbing. i think it's just me but i couldn't stop my laughter when i heard the characters screaming during a fight or in agony. (●′ω`) i'm hard to satisfy!

in summary, i still think it's a good game to enjoy~ for the purpose of looking at the art and listening to the voices. the plot is certainly unique though the progressing can be a little odd. i think it's the best otome game i played so far. top 1! ´･ω･｀ i recommend playing Takuma's route first to better understand the plot.

i'm back~ did some changes to my blog and edited my blog header. it's a temporary one though? i know i over highlighted my nose. (*´д｀*) some pages are still under construction. i will be blogging more often now~ starting my long awaited post with otome games!

what is the definition of otome games (乙女ゲーム)?

as suggested in the name, it originated from Japan and targets girls & young female adults. usually you will be playing the main female character, with several male characters around you. (GxB mostly) the main goal of the game is do develop a strong relationship with the male you choose and most preferably end up with him in the story. the game play varies and in some endings, your character marries the male. (・´ω`・)

i strongly recommend shoujo manga lovers to play otome games!

most otome games are in Japanese only. Few are translated into English.

Yo-Jin-Bo (PC)

Voice: Yup! Male parts (Japanese)

Plot: You play Sayori, a modern high school girl, who finds a pendant and goes back into time. After witnessing Hatsuhime's assassination, you become Hatsuhime before her miserable fate. You are given a chance to do things right & not end up assassinated.

Recommend?: Yes! definitely. the best known otome game in English! there's not much game play though. only choosing conversation options a.k.a visual novel

Princess Debut (DS)

Voice: None

Art: 3 out of 5

Plot: A princess from another world asks you to take her place in dancing at a prestigious ball. you accept & have 30 days to practice dancing and find a prince to be your partner. While practicing dancing, you will be asked to choose conversation options like in a visual novel.

Recommend?: Suitable for all ages!

Avalon Code (DS)

Voice: Yes, some (English)

Art: 4 out of 5

Plot: You get to choose to play a male or a female character, whose world is about to end. You are told that your job is not to save the world but to use a magic book to record what is worth saving, so that information may be used to create the next world.

Recommend?: Why not? RPG & otome together!

Harvest Moon: Cute (DS)

Voice: None

Art: 2½ out of 5

Plot: Instead of a male protagonist, you will be playing the female. Like the usual Harvest Moon games, while farming, you build relationships & aim to get married/have babies.

Recommend?: Farming for girls!

My thoughts: A definite tearjerker i can say! (*´□｀*) what's more touching than a loyal dog waiting for his owner till his own death? (´へ｀●) even though he knew that his owner has passed on and will not be back. i cried tons when it "deliberately" play fetch to try to keep his owner from attending work. it's like he knew it will be the last time to see his owner. (●´ｪ`●) i love this show so much!! if only it were filmed in Japan itself, i would prefer it more. with a Japan actor and Japanese scenery, it would be more original. will have to visit his statue at Shibuya station someday. for his loyalty and human-like nature, this show is a must watch!!

My thoughts: Another of my favourite animated movies! (○･∀･○) both part 1 & 2 proved worthwhile to watch~ i believe i laughed even more in part 2. will even consider to buy a copy of the dvd! though some parts of the movie do seem a little ridiculous, like how Po so quickly gets his inner peace and beats crap out of the peacock. i love how the Po and Tigress relationship is blooming. (●･ω･)ﾉ i can totally see them becoming a couple! shall not reveal too much spoilers~ generally a very comedic show that is suitable for all ages. can't wait for part 3!!

My thoughts: Another Johnny Depp movie! (･｀ω´･) watching this was a definite~ didn't enjoy seeing Penelope Cruz beside Johnny though. she looks terrible acting this while pregnant. i wished they would get another actor. (●´△｀)ﾉ keira knightley looked hell better in POC3. the whole plot felt draggy and a little boring. i wouldn't say that the quality of effects have dropped but i couldn't feel the heart stopping action scenes like in the first 3 movies. the "monsters" & bad guys were also not as gruesome. personally, i felt only the addition of mermaids was rather fresh & interesting. (´∀｀☆) i expected the show to be disappointing and after watching it, it was indeed. but will most likely be watching the 5th movie just because Johnny is in it~~

My thoughts: It's my first time watching A Chinese Ghost Story. no, i haven't watched the original film of the same title~〔-ω･｀*〕i was rather perplexed with how open Nie Xiaoqian was, considering it was a more conservative era. the love plot between Xiaoqian & Caichen progressed so quickly as if i was watching a western romance flick. plus, the supposedly old Yan Chixia was ironically much more good looking than Caichen... (o･ε･o) the only redeeming factor was that the action scenes were pretty good. effects looked quite real & believable.

as you guys might know, Japan was hit with quakes and tsunami recently. things aren't going so well at the Fukushima nuclear power plants right now. hopefully everything will stabilize soon.

the first ever B-T song i listen was the opening of anime Trinity Blood, Dress. i wasn't much into songs then so i did not really notice the song. by chance on YouTube, i clicked on Romance by B-T. i really liked it and couldn't help notice the handsome vocal & his powerful voice. (●＾▽＾●) everything just clicked when i began searching more songs by B-T. since then, i have been listening to their songs & saving Atsushi's pictures~~ they have plenty of albums & singles, below are some i recommend for starters. my favourite song till date has to be 幻想の花~ they sound real good at live too!!

My thoughts: All in all, a heartwarming movie with some funny moments~ at first, i was shocked to be seated in a theater with only 3 rows of people watching. (ﾟДﾟﾉ)ﾉ it was a Saturday after all! i thought the movie was going to be a disaster. but no! it was really cute!! i can feel everyone enjoyed the movie. the main male actor was superb in acting his role~ what can i say? even with his unmanly habits, he was really charming & sweet~ (o＾▽＾o) a nice romance/comedy film~

it'd been more than a week since Chinese New Year~

finally found time to do the post promised ヾ(≧ω≦*)

where did i visit during the festive season?

Sentosa's Resort World!!!

went into their flower exhibit for just SGD $1 per person! not exactly an impressive one but it will do~ spent one whole afternoon there & ate Japanese BBQ over at Vivocity. d(ﾟ∀ﾟ*) also dined in Peranakan food for our reunion dinner. love the 12 zodiac exhibits made out of flowers~

my loots during the long weekend~ (｡>ω<｡) got some red packets and purchased some stuffs at Resort World, Vivocity & Takashimaya. unfortunately, my nose got sensitive of the dried lavender flowers~ had to pop a pill in order to get back into bed. guess my nose still prefers normal air than a scented one. (*´д｀*)

remember the liz lisa fukubukuro i would receive after Chinese New Year? i got it already!! o(*≧ω≦*)o got a three piece set; turtleneck blouse, dress & wool outwear~ totally loving it~~ though i think i might never get to use the turtleneck & outwear in Singapore (*／Д＼) wayy too thick!!

also marathon Juui Dolittle & My Fair Lady~ bought them cheaply off the shelves of Poh Kim. (^・ω・^) Juui Dolittle is too awesome. i never thought Oguri Shun could look so handsome & mature with glasses and curly hair. Inoue Mao is as cute as usual~ i really love each and every chapter depicting a tale of pets and their owners. some are so heartwarming that i even cried! (＃´∀｀＃) too bad there's only 9 episodes. comparing Juui Dolittle to My Fair Lady, Dolittle is much better to me. My Fair Lady starts out rather interesting but ends up as just another typical, boring kdrama.

My thoughts: I never thought a 99% dialect movie will be shown in Singapore. (｀・ω・´) what amazed me more was that i could understand most of the Hokkien & Teochew spoken. those in Singapore should really watch this film. it portrays what our ancestors/parents entertained themselves with during the old days with no television~ maybe one day our style of living will be a thing in the past & a movie will be made to show these "ancient" times. (ノ∀≦*)

(o´c_｀o) more like playing with water than swimming. i can't swim for nuts. i guess i have a general fear of water? sengkang's public swimming complex is fabulous though, equipped with slides, jacuzzi & a indoor pool. (*´Д`*) i almost swallowed water coming down a slide. so embarrassing~ the slide was like tiny compared to the adult one. won't be going to wild wild wet until i have conquered all slides there.

My thoughts: A movie with two infamous actors = a word: brilliant! (*^Д^*)ﾉ I love & support most of Johnny Depp's movies, so this one is a must to watch. reading the summary of the movie on wikipedia was a huge spoiler. (>_<●) nevertheless, watching it was still fun though not as exciting~ with Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp fantastic charisma, what else can you ask for? they look soo perfect together as lovers~ sorry Brad Pitt! (o^□^o) not only with romance, it has tons of action sequences too! Johnny still looks cute wearing a pajamas and climbing roof tops. Angie is in tip top form also! (o´ω`o) love her out-of-the-world body~~ shall not enclose too much spoilers, go watch it yourself!

1. Sign up for a tertiary course after collecting my o level result

2. Lose some weight! Target is 12kg~

3. Dye my hair like Kanno Yui and fringe like Kumiky~

4. Visit Hong Kong and a physical Liz Lisa shop there

5. Learn Japanese during weekends

6. Dedicate myself to blogging more gal posts~

7. Dress gal everyday at school

8. Earn some $$ by opening an online blogshop

i think that's about it~ (｡･ω･｡) i am so hyped up now.

hope i can achieve this resolution~

My thoughts: Funny show! as usual, Jack Black never fail to crack me up. (*･∀･*) this movie gives a light touch of romance + a whole lot of witty jokes. it also has a moral of the story~ the movie effects are fantastic too! (･ω･｀*)з all of the characters have strong personalities & a good story behind them. (＾▽＾) in short, a show definitely worth recommending to~

merry xmas everybody~ (★´ー｀) this post is a day late as i stayed out last night to watch a midnight movie at Nex. [｡･ω･｡] had a great time watching Gulliver's Travels~ jack black is such a natural comedian. will do a short review about the movie tomorrow~~

look at my awesome Swensen's christmas spread. my family & i placed this order for the jolly season package ages ago and had anticipated for this xmas eve meal. (●･ェ･●) perhaps i was too excited for it that i caught a flu.. i was so sure it would have be a great night with my family, eating this meal and exchanging presents. i really wanted to do something christmas-y this year. (●′Д`) but the flu made me too upset during xmas week. didn't buy any presents for exchange and as expected, the meal tasted.. bland. boo hoo! oh well.. at least i still have some of my durian ice-cream logcake left in the fridge. will eat it when i regain my health~

looking on the bright side, my parents got me the Samantha Thavasa wallet and bag i wanted for xmas. (○'ω'○) i was so delighted when i heard there were stocks of the hello kitty design i like.

my snaps of their bag and their wallet~ (*＾▽＾) isn't the designs cute? along with the bags, they also give authenticity cards to prove their products are real. unfortunately, when purchasing the hello kitty bag, i didn't had such a nice time at the store. i don't know why but the quality of the bags were rather bad. the sales girl had to take out all 4 bags they have. 1 had a very clear scratch and another had ink marks on the handle. when i finally chose one that was 90% satisfactory, the ribbon clips could not be clipped on the leather parts! you know clips have a "negative" and "positive" side to clip on.. the leather parts were supposed to have "negative" sides but this bag i chose, had 1 "positive" side! ヾ(´囗｀｡) how could two "positive" sides clip together? it was a joke watching the sales people force the ribbon to clip with the handle of the bag. despite all that, i really still wanted the bag so i had to settle for the last bag which was somewhat passable. i don't know was it my luck or what.. the bags weren't cheap yet they had so obvious defective parts. the manager could only reply that their bags were like this, nothing to do about it. anyhow, i still purchased the bag and got a wallet together with it. (●`･д･) to sum it off, i don't ever think i will get anything from Samantha Thavasa again.. at least not in their Singapore outlet.

i saw this red wallet available in the store of ion though it is out of stock online. pretty sweet, but i still like the first long wallet better. comparing the two, the first is more classy (´∀｀) latter is more plain? the silver really made the first wallet stand out more. the following disney series also by Samantha Thavasa reminds me of the Louis Vuitton zippy wallet. do you see the similarity? i prefer the disney one of course. it's much more youthful~ suitable for me.

i wonder is melon in season now? (´ω`) saw many melon snacks at Liang Court. the real melon fruit imported from Japan costs so ridiculously expensive so i bought the cheaper melon candy & chocolate instead~ (〃′▽`) did any of you went to Liang Court for the toy fair i mentioned in my first post? seriously, it was so pathetic!! (●｀ε´) not only there wasn't any konapun products, there were only like 3 stalls? wishing for konapun items were like... crazy. (ｗ´Д`) hope none of you made a wasted trip down there like i did. saddened, i had a crepe there to cheer myself up~ d(ﾟ∀ﾟ*) it tasted great and made my day happy again~~ ordered the choco banana gelato. chose vanilla ice-cream. can't wait to have another one soon!!

compared to last year's carry luggage, the Sweet Ribbon Carry did not really catch my eye? (='ω'=) wanted to get one Sweet Ribbon Boston still. i tried a few sites of pre-ordering it but like always, the bill doesn't come cheap with an agent in play. the boston costs around SGD $80 only, yet i have to pay $100 more for the transacting fees. almost wanting to forget about it, my mum's Japanese friend agreed to get it for me at SGD $90 and pass it over during Feb, after Chinese New Year (ｗ>∀<) so excited! thanks to her, i do not need to pay the price for hefty shipping fees. seriously got to buck up on my Japanese so i can go there and queue for myself. when will that be?? (≧∩≦；) i always can't seem to stop coming up with excuses to skip lessons ヾ(´囗｀｡)ﾉ i completely wasted 2 full courses of beginner 1 in Bunka Language School. have to start all over again.. from scratch (=´Д｀=) hopefully i can find my determination soon

my dad's b'day just passed on 15th. baked him a fruit tart and made some curry rice~(´¨д｀●) it was supposed to be curry with omurice. i freaked out when my egg kept sticking on the wok and refused to be flipped as a whole. decided to move on and just mixed the egg with the tomato rice. (o･∀･)ﾉ glad that my family loved it even though i did not try the recipe before. first dinner + dessert cooked by me~ (ゝω･`o) will need to get the oil spray next time when i try this omurice recipe again. (*｀З´) eggs really need practice to get it perfect.

oh~ i had some bread from this Japanese green pumpkin bakery at Nex. bought their signature green pumpkin bread & hokkaido melon pan. okay i guess (o´ω`o) i still prefer to stick with four leaves though. four leaves has more local flavors bread like hot dog bun?

Nex, the new shopping mall over at Serangoon central is great~ i just need to cross over the road and there it is. (〃′▽`) largest shopping mall outside the city i think. many eateries and shops, though i still prefer shopping online & staying at home. (´∀｀o) big lazy pig here. fashion boutiques in Singapore can never compare to Shibuya 109 clothings. most clothing here are so office lady (OL) and rather conservative. we do have high-end boutiques like Louis Vuitton, Victoria's Secret & Juicy Couture. recently there's one newly opened Samantha Thavasa boutique at ion. (≧∇≦)ﾟ am going this weekend. might get a new bag to replace my oldddd Couch tote bag~ check out their Hello Kitty series. super expensive though (´Д｀) then again what's pretty, good quality and yet cheap?

you know those name necklaces? i did one named "Genevieve" at Nex couple lab (ﾟ∀ﾟ*) will show it to you guys when i collect it on monday~

just started reading this manga, Kuranoa, recently. up till its 3rd chapter, i think it's pretty new and refreshing. the guys are real dreamy too~ ichi is really cute while shou is so my type of guy (●´～｀●) can't wait to read more. do try it out~~ it is adapted from an otome game i believe. yup, in Japanese~

(*^∀^) guess what? being so-called a fan of Kumiky, i knew i had to support and buy her book. after knowing i can pre-order it at Kinokuniya, i headed down and made my order. had to pay around $10 more for the service though. can't wait to get my hands on the copy~

on a side note, i just ordered some apparel online~ will do my first coordinate look soon (○･∀･○) ending this post with some kumiky pictures. (*>∀<*) she's so adorable~~

ヽCSI: the Experience ノ

though i am not a hardcore fan of the CSI franchise, i do love watching the series every Tuesday on Channel 5. (o･ε･o) without a doubt, i had to go to the CSI: the Experience exhibit at Science Center. i would say $21 for an adult & $16 for ages 3~16 was worth it~~

for $21, you can cover all 4 crime scenes & get involved with various activities inside the exhibition. generally there's no time limit, but i spent roughly around 2 hours in total~ (≧ω≦。) in the beginning it can be somewhat confusing finding your way around the exhibit, though after your first case, it will be much smoother and quicker. (○'ー') i do strongly suggest to go on a weekday instead of a weekend as kids will be all over the place and slowing down the stations.

here's a map on places you can visit~ on the CSI website linked earlier, there's a quick overview of cases 1,2 and 3 so i will not talk much about it here. going in the exhibit, you will be given a piece of "worksheet" that will guide you throughout the 3 cases. after so, you need to head to the report room to check your answers. queues are long there, it's suggested you do all 3 cases before checking your answers all at once. and then, sign up for your diploma where 2 choices will be offered: send to your email account or get it printed for a fee. (〃′▽`) 4th crime scene is an online contest whereby you look at the clues inside the exhibit and log on to the website at home to stand a chance to win an Ipad if you answer the question correctly. (-`ω´- ) do note there are only a few time slots for educational kiosks. it skipped my attention and i missed all of the lessons where i think they will teach about blood spatters analysis?

all in all, this exhibition is not much for someone looking for a challenge. do prepare yourself for very simple activities you have to do in order to crack the case. most of the stations are soo simple that you just need to glance to find the answer. (´∪｀*) i guess they have to cater for the younger crowd. definitely recommended for some family bonding and learning some details about forensic sciences.

my loots for the exhibit! (/∇≦*) lame detective kit on fingerprinting, a mini CSI torchlight, my CSI diploma printed & 2 sets of photographs taken during the experience. (´□｀；) my mum was rather surprised at how much i wanted to have my photograph taken at Grissom's office.

my first post is going to be about Fukubukuro (´･ω･｀)

what is a Fukubukuro 福袋?

Fukubukuro (福袋 lucky bag, mystery bag) is a Japanese New Year's Day custom where merchants make grab bags filled with unknown random contents and sell them for a substantial discount, usually 50% or more off the list price of the items contained within. The low prices are usually done to attract customers to shop at that store during the new year.

i first get to know about Fukubukuro was when a lolita shop in Singapore was promoting Baby, the Stars shine Bright Fukubukuros. after finding out that Liz Lisa also offers Fukubukuro, i am determined to get one myself in Japan. (o＾▽＾o)

some pre-orders for Fukubukuros are on now and here are some that caught my eye. ヽ(o･∀･)ﾉ

wakatsuki chinatsu, wc (｀ゝω･) doesn't it look so cute? too bad it's sold out!! (´Д｀) must queue for it in Japan in order to get it! they get sold out sooo quickly online.
